Odds Converter: Decimal, Fractional, American
Convert odds between the three most widely used formats in the world
The three odds formats
Bookmakers use different formats depending on the country and bettor preferences. This converter lets you instantly switch between formats to compare odds or understand an offer displayed in a format you are familiar with.
Decimal format (European)
The decimal format is the most widely used in Europe and on most European bookmakers. The odds indicate the total return for a $1 bet (stake included). Example: odds of 2.50 mean that for every $1 wagered, you get back $2.50 if you win ($1.50 net profit).
Fractional format (British)
Very common in the United Kingdom and Ireland, the fractional format expresses the net profit relative to the stake. Odds of 3/2 mean that for every $2 wagered, you win $3 in profit (plus your stake). British bookmakers (Bet365, William Hill, etc.) often use this format.
American format
Used in the United States and Canada, the American format uses positive or negative numbers. Positive odds (+150) indicate the profit for a $100 wager. Negative odds (-200) indicate the stake needed to win $100. American bookmakers and US sports betting sites use this format.
