The most common football bet with three outcomes: 1 (Home Win), X (Draw), 2 (Away Win).

Betting '1' on a KPL match on SportPesa at odds of 1.85.

Double Chance

A bet covering 2 of the 3 possible outcomes (1X, 12, or X2). Less risky, lower odds.

Betting 1X means you win if the home team wins OR draws.

Draw No Bet

DNB

Your stake is refunded if the match ends in a draw.

Backing Team A DNB: win if they win, refund on draw, lose if they lose.

Half Time / Full Time

HT/FT

Predicting the result at both half time and full time.

HT: Draw / FT: Home Win — the match is drawn at half time but the home team wins.

Acca

A single bet combining multiple selections. All must win for the bet to pay out.

Double

An accumulator with exactly 2 selections. Both must win.

Single Bet

A bet on one selection only. The simplest type of bet.

Betting KSh1,000 on Team A to win in 1X2.

System Bet

A combination covering all possible combos from your selections. Some legs can lose.

A Trixie (3 selections) = 3 doubles + 1 treble = 4 bets total.

Treble

An accumulator with exactly 3 selections. All must win.

Odds

Decimal Odds

The odds format showing total return per unit staked. Odds × stake = total return.

Odds of 2.50 on SportPesa: a KSh1,000 bet returns KSh2,500 (KSh1,500 profit).

Fixed Odds

Odds locked in when you place the bet — they don't change even if the market moves.

You take 3.00 — even if odds drop to 2.20 before kickoff, you get paid at 3.00.

Margin

Juice / Vig

The bookmaker's built-in profit on the odds. Lower margin = better odds for you.

A coin toss should be 2.00/2.00, but bookies offer 1.90/1.90 — the 5% gap is the margin.

Free Bet

A bet placed with bonus funds. Usually only profit is returned, not the stake.

Wagering Requirement
